Worship at Second Congregational Church in Newcastle on December 5, 2021

WORSHIP FOR DECEMBER 5, 2021 ─ SECOND SUNDAY OF ADVENT AND HOLY COMMUNION:  Pastor Char Corbett led us in worship. The lighting of the second Advent candle – “PEACE” – included readings by Carol and Phil Helgerson. Lynn Kimball read our scripture passages: Malachi 3:1-4 and Luke 3:1-6. Music included our anthem “Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus” by Mary Wheeler Burnett. Jane Wilmot led us in all things musical.
We have been invited to bring ornaments for our tree in the Sanctuary. Doves or other birds evoking Peace are suggested for this 2nd Sunday of Advent.
