Worship at Second Congregational Church in Newcastle on December 19, 2021

WORSHIP ON DECEMBER 19, 2021 ─ FOURTH SUNDAY OF ADVENT and NEW MEMBER SUNDAY: Pastor Char Corbett led us in worship. Following our Prelude and Centering Moment, the service continued with the Reception and Welcome of New Member John W. Towne. The lighting of the FOURTH Advent candle – “LOVE” – included readings by Lonnie Andersen, Shirley Tawney and Bill Bausch. Janie Hartman read our scripture passages: Micah 5:2-5a and Luke 1:39-55. Pastor Char shared her meditation “Draw Near to Love”. Music included familiar hymns and our choral anthem “Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming”, led by our Music Minister Jane Wilmot.
